Introduction

Topical Solution is a fast acting and effective
solution for fungal infections of the skin. This topical solution is
specifically designed to treat a wide range of fungal infections, including
ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch, and various yeast infections that affect
the skin

Composition

Topical Solution contains Terbinafine
Hydrochloride, a powerful antifungal compound that acts against various fungi,
molds, and yeasts responsible for skin infections. This solution is designed to
provide rapid relief and prevent recurrent infections

How Terbiderm Works

classified as an allylamine antifungal agent,
which means it has a broad spectrum action against various fungi. It effectively
targets dermatophytes like Trichophyton, Microsporum, and Epidermophyton, as
well as yeasts such as Candida and Pityrosporum. Terbiderm works by inhibiting
an early step in the synthesis of ergosterol, a crucial component in fungal
cell membranes. This inhibition leads to a deficiency in ergosterol and
eventually results in fungal cell death

Pharmacokinetics

When applied topically, Terbiderm Topical Solution forms a
film on the skin, allowing the active ingredient to penetrate and treat the
affected area. This topical solution delivers Terbinafine directly to the
stratum corneum, where the applied dose persists for up to 13 days. This
sustained presence is essential for effective treatment, ensuring that
Terbiderm remains at concentrations exceeding the minimum inhibitory levels
against fungal infections

Indications

Terbiderm Topical Solution is recommended for the treatment
of various fungal skin infections, including:

• Tinea pedis (athlete’s foot)

• Tinea cruris (jock itch)
• Tinea corporis (ringworm)
• yeast infections of the skin, particularly those caused by
  Candida species
• Pityriasis (tinea) versicolor due to Pityrosporum
  orbiculare (Malassezia furfur)

Dosage and Administration

For optimal results, Terbiderm Topical Solution should be
applied to the affected skin and surrounding areas in a thin layer. The
following recommendations for specific conditions apply:

• Athlete’s foot (tinea
  pedis): Apply once daily, preferably at bedtime

• Tinea corporis,
  cruris: Apply once or twice a day, as directed by a physician
• Yeast infections and
  Pityriasis versicolor: Follow your physician’s instructions for application

It’s essential to wash the affected area thoroughly with
soap and water before applying Terbiderm Topical Solution. For athlete’s foot
between the toes, it’s recommended to apply the solution at bedtime. To prevent
reinfection, wear well fitting, ventilated shoes, and change shoes and socks
daily

Precautions

Terbiderm Topical Solution is generally well tolerated, with
side effects being mild and transient. It’s important to discontinue treatment
if any progressive skin rash occurs. Taste disturbances are rare but may occur
and usually recover within several weeks after discontinuation
