Hyderquin Plus Cream is a dermatological formulation that
combines the power of three active ingredients: Hydroquinone, Fluocinolone
Acetonide, and Tretinoin. This cream is designed for topical application and is
particularly effective in treating moderate to severe melasma of the face. With
a balanced composition, Hyderquin Cream provides a comprehensive solution

Composition

Hyderquin Plus Cream comprises the following active
ingredients per gram:

Hydroquinone 4% w/w

Fluocinolone
Acetonide 0.01% w/w

Tretinoin 0.05% w/w

These components work together to combat melasma and improve
skin health.

Clinical Pharmacology

Hydroquinone:

A depigmenting agent that interrupts the melanin synthesis pathway, reducing skin
pigmentation.

Fluocinolone
Acetonide:

A synthetic corticosteroid with antiinflammatory properties, aiding in melasma treatment.

Tretinoin:

Helps to improve skin texture and pigmentation.

Minimal systemic absorption of these ingredients occurs,

Indications and Usage

Hyderquin Cream is indicated for the shortterm,
intermittent treatment of moderate to severe melasma on the face. To maximize
effectiveness, it should be used in conjunction with sunavoidance measures and
sunscreen.

Contraindications

This cream is contraindicated for individuals with a history
of hypersensitivity, allergies, or intolerance to any of its components.

Warnings

Sodium Metabisulfite:

Hyderquin Cream contains sodium metabisulfite, which may cause allergic
reactions. Prevalence in the general population is low, but caution should be
exercised.

Hydroquinone:

Prolonged use may lead to exogenous ochronosis, prompting discontinuation of
treatment.

Hypersensitivity:

Allergic contact dermatitis has been reported in some cases. If irritation or
severe side effects occur, discontinue use.

Precautions

Skin Irritation:

Some local skin irritation, such as redness or mild burning, is normal. It does not
necessarily indicate a problem.

Sun Protection:

Sun avoidance and sunscreen are essential during treatment to prevent repigmentation.

Mucosa: Avoid applying the cream near sensitive areas such as the eyes, nose, and mouth.

Excessive Use:

Overuse may result in marked redness, peeling, or discomfort.

Laboratory Tests

Dosage and Administration

Apply Hyderquin Plus Cream once daily at night, at least 30
minutes before bedtime. Gently cleanse the skin, pat it dry, and apply a thin

use sunscreen during the day.
